Special Coaches Added for Women on Eid Train Services

Bangladesh Railway has added special coaches for female passengers on trains ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.
Railway Director General Md. Afzal Hossain inaugurated the service on Monday by seeing off female passengers traveling in the special coach attached to the Jayantika Express at Kamalapur Railway Station.
During the event, railway officials exchanged greetings with passengers and conveyed Eid wishes to them.
In a statement, the Ministry of Railways said female passengers expressed satisfaction over receiving separate coaches. They also thanked the government for taking the special initiative.
Railways Secretary Md. Fahimul Islam will welcome female passengers traveling in the special coach attached to the Dhaka-bound Sonar Bangla Express (787) when the train arrives in Dhaka today from Chattogram.
Under special government directives, the service introduced special coaches for female passengers on the Jayantika Express operating on the Dhaka-Sylhet-Dhaka route and the non-stop Sonar Bangla Express running on the Dhaka-Chattogram-Dhaka route.
The service will continue from Monday until Wednesday, the final three days before Eid.
