Bangladesh urges India to stop fugitives from destabilizing nation

Prime Minister’s Adviser Mahdi Amin called upon Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Dinesh Trivedi on Thursday to ensure that convicted criminals taking shelter in India cannot attempt to create any instability in Bangladesh.
During the meeting, both sides held discussions regarding the development of bilateral relations and the expansion of mutual contact between the two nations. Deputy High Commissioner of the Indian High Commission in Dhaka Pawan Badhe was also present in the meeting.
The meeting highlighted the importance of consolidating the democratic environment and values of both countries. Both sides agreed on elevating bilateral relations to a sustainable and dignified height based on establishing mutual respect, equality, fairness, and justice.
Discussions also took place regarding the resolution of existing challenges through mutual dialogue and cooperation.
Moreover, the meeting featured discussions regarding the multidimensional framework of bilateral relations between Bangladesh and India. Both sides placed particular emphasis on cooperation in education, health, sports, culture, and tourism, business, trade, and investment.
Citing the potential of information technology and innovation, both sides agreed that opportunities exist to enhance cooperation between the two countries across numerous fields, including science and technology.
