On the occasion of National Revolution and Solidarity Day, Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman paid tribute at the grave of BNP founder and martyred President Ziaur Rahman.
After 8 am on Saturday, central leaders of the party led by Tarique Rahman visited the grave of Ziaur Rahman. At the same time, tribute was also paid at the grave of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.

Later, participating in Fateha recitation and a special prayer, Tarique Rahman sought forgiveness for the souls of martyred President Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia. BNP leaders and activists were present at the time.

Meanwhile, BNP has announced a seven-day program marking the day. The day's activities began on the first day of the program with tributes at the graves of party founder Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.

Marking the day, BNP has organized a colorful procession in the capital. BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman will walk in the procession, which is set to start from in front of the party's central office in Nayapaltan at 3 pm.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will lead the procession. Starting from Nayapaltan, it will parade through several important roads of the capital and end with a rally at Manik Mia Avenue.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has issued a message marking National Revolution and Solidarity Day.

In the message, the PM said, "History is witness that, following a long path of conspiracy, the defeated evil forces of November 7, 1975, united in the name of a grand alliance and turned the country into a client state. Through the planned massacre of soldiers at Pilkhana, they tarnished the glory and dignity of the army. By snatching away the people's right to vote and democratic political rights, they established fascist rule in the country."

The Prime Minister said that through the sacrifice of thousands of martyrs and the bloody mass uprising of brave students and people, the country has been freed from fascism after more than a decade and a half. He said that the main pledge of this year's November 7 should be to ensure that no one can ever again deprive the country and its people of their rights or turn the country into a client state.

Highlighting the need for national unity to implement this pledge, the Prime Minister said, "Not Delhi, not Pindi, not any other country—Bangladesh first of all."
