BMD confirmed the matter in the weather forecast for internal river ports, effective from 3 am to 1 pm on Wednesday.
According to the forecast, temporary gusty or squally winds, accompanied by rain or thundershowers, may sweep over the Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Kushtia, and Sylhet regions from the south and south-east and advised internal river ports in these areas to hoist cautionary signal number 1.
A separate forecast issued on Tuesday added that starting from 6 pm Wednesday, light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds may occur in many parts of the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions.
Some areas within the Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions are also expected to see similar weather. Moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some locations across the country. Both day and night temperatures across the nation are expected to rise slightly.
