The 'Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Planning' for the 13th National Parliament has been formed. Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan, Member of Parliament for the Narsingdi-2 constituency, has been made the president of the committee.
Today, Wednesday, during a parliamentary session, Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni (Barguna-2), on behalf of the Leader of the House and the Prime Minister, proposed the formation of the committee. It was subsequently adopted unanimously by a voice vote.
The committee has been formed in accordance with Article 76 of the Constitution of Bangladesh and Rules 246, 247, and 248 of the Rules of Procedure of the National Parliament.
The other members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Planning are: Mohammad Jonayed Abdur Rahim Saki (Brahmanbaria-6), M. Ruhul Quddus Talukdar Dulu (Natore-2), Kazi Rafiqul Islam, Mainul Islam Khan (Manikganj-2), Mohammad Fakhrul Islam (Noakhali-5), Mohammad Shawkatul Islam (Moulvibazar-2), Mosammat Farida Yasmin (Women's Seat-6), Mohammad Saiful Alam (Dhaka-12), and Mohammad Rashedul Islam Rashed (Sherpur-1).
