Agamir Somoy Gold Club Hosts Special Father’s Day Event
‘My Father, My Hero’

Today is Father's Day. Like many countries around the world, Bangladesh is observing the day in an atmosphere of love, respect, and gratitude. Agamir Somoy Gold Club has also organized a special event to mark the occasion.
The program, titled My Father, My Hero, began on Sunday at the Bishwo Shahitto Kendro Auditorium in Banglamotor, Dhaka.
The event opened with songs dedicated to fathers, performed by singer Priyanka Gop. Her father also attended the program. Poet Shimul Salahuddin recited Nesha, a poem by poet Mofazzal Karim, in tribute to fathers.
Renowned magician Jewel Aich and Bahumatrik General Secretary Shakil Mahbub are scheduled to share memories of their fathers. Human rights activist Ilira Dewan will remember her recently deceased father.
In the musical segment, Debolina Sur will perform Rabindra Sangeet, while Rokeya Yasmin will sing popular songs from earlier decades. Psychiatrist Farzana Rahman will offer advice on how young people can maintain the joy and vitality of youth.
The event will conclude with Gold Club Director Dontossow Rowshan outlining various initiatives of Gold Club, a networking platform for senior citizens. Agamir Somoy Gold Club and Universal Medical College Hospital are jointly organizing the program.
