Dhaka braces for rain as storms target 5 regions

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said Dhaka may experience rain or thunderstorms and storms at 60 kilometers per hour could sweep over five regions of the country.
In the weather forecast for the six hours starting from 7 am on Thursday, the sky may remain partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy. Light rain or thunderstorms are likely by noon. Winds may blow from the south or southwest at 10-15 kilometers per hour, while daytime temperatures are expected to remain mostly unchanged.
At 6 am, the temperature in Dhaka was 26.8 degrees Celsius, with air humidity at 97 percent. The minimum temperature is 26.6 degrees Celsius. In the last 24 hours, 10 millimeters of rain was recorded in Dhaka.
The weather forecast for inland river ports from 5 am to 1 pm added that temporary gusty or squally winds from the south or southeast at 45-60 kilometers per hour, along with rain or thunderstorms, may occur over the Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, and Chattogram regions. River ports in these areas have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number 1.
