Prime Minister: Stand by the Helpless – This is the Teaching of Shaheed Zia

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has called upon party leaders and activists to stand by the helpless. He said, "Not only on behalf of the party, but also through personal initiatives wherever possible, try to stand by the helpless. This is the teaching of Shaheed Zia."
He made this call today (Saturday) afternoon after distributing clothes and dry food among the destitute at the party's central office in Naya Paltan, marking the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.
The Prime Minister said, "Today is the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman. Those of you who have been associated with the party for a long time know that every year on this day, we try to stand by the helpless. We have tried to assist those who are helpless and in distress in various places, as much as possible."
Addressing the party leaders and activists, the Prime Minister called upon them, saying, "Let us all take a pledge that from our respective positions and according to our abilities, we will extend a hand of cooperation to the helpless. Let this be our expectation today, and let this be our achievement."
On this occasion, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed, Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Joint Secretary General Habib Un Nabi Khan Sohel, Convener of Dhaka Metro South Rafiqul Alam Majnu, Convener of Dhaka Metro North Aminul Haque, Administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation Md. Abdus Salam, Administrator of Dhaka North City Corporation Shafiqul Alam Milton, Volunteer Party's Rajib Ahsan, and Student Party President Rakibul Islam Rakib, among others, were present.
