Bangladesh condemns ‘drone attack’ on holy city of Makkah

Bangladesh has strongly condemned the reported “drone attack” targeting Saudi Arabia’s holy city of Makkah Al Mukarramah.
The condemnation was issued in a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.
Bangladesh is reaffirming its deep respect for the sanctity of Makkah Al Mukarramah and other holy sites in Saudi Arabia. It also expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its people in protecting these sites.
Bangladesh stressed that the security and protection of holy sites must always be fully ensured and upheld.
Saudi Arabia said today that a drone launched by Yemen’s Houthi rebels targeting Makkah city had been destroyed.
However, the Houthis denied the allegation of a drone attack targeting Makkah.
