AC Explosion at Bangshal Leaves 10 People Burned

Ten people suffered burn injuries after an air conditioner (AC) exploded at a hair salon in Bangshal, Dhaka.
National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (NIBPS) Resident Surgeon Shawon Bin Rahman confirmed the matter. The incident occurred on Wednesday, resulting in nine individuals being admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
The injured individuals are Md Farooq, 35, Rinku, 30, Rony, 36, Jasim, 40, Rafiq, 25, Samshed, 30, Raju, 34, Pappu, 26, Sakib, 17, and Arman, 37.
Shawon said among the victims, Farooq sustained burns to 50 percent of his body, Rinku 21 percent, Rony 10 percent, Jasim 8 percent, Rafique 12 percent, Samshed 15 percent, Raju 18 percent, Pappu 18 percent, Sakib 1 percent, and Arman 15 percent.
Medical officials added that one victim, Sakib, was released after receiving primary first aid. The remaining victims are hospitalized and receiving ongoing treatment.
