11-party alliance begins long march

The 11-Party Alliance’s long march from Dhaka toward Chattogram has begun at 7 am on Saturday.
The program has been launched to demand the implementation of the public mandate of the referendum, justice for the July uprising, and mitigation of the ongoing electricity, oil, gas, and fertilizer crises.
The alliance held an inaugural rally at Dhaka’s Shapla Chattar. Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman addressed the rally as the chief guest. The long march toward Chattogram commenced after the rally.
Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General and the coordinator of the 11-Party Alliance AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad delivered the inaugural address at the gathering.
The event was attended by other top leaders of the 11-Party Alliance, including NCP Convenor and Opposition Chief Whip Nahid Islam, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Col (retd) Oli Ahmad, and Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis Ameer Mamunul Haque.
As part of the program, street rallies will be held at various points along the long march route. The first rally will take place at the truck stand near Kanchpur Bridge in Narayanganj, followed by rallies at Paduar Bazar Bishwaroad in Cumilla, Mahipal in Feni, and Mirsharai.
The program will conclude with a grand public rally at the Laldighi Maidan in Chattogram.
