Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has inaugurated the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum at 9 am on Wednesday.

Muhammad Yunus, the chief adviser of the former interim government, was present with the PM during the ceremony.

Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury said the museum will be open for the public starting from 6 August.

Nitai added that after the PM’s inauguration, journalists will have the opportunity to tour the museum, with the first day will be reserved specifically for the family members of those killed in the July uprising.

Following this, the museum will remain open to the public. Because managing a large number of visitors simultaneously may be difficult, a time-based (slot) entry system has been put in place.

Therefore, visitors must make online bookings in advance. The ticket price has been set at Tk 50 for adults and Tk 25 for children.
